Detailed Description of the Make-it-EZ
The Make-it-EZ is especially designed to produce an atomising
spray and to have all auxiliary process aids gathered in one unit to make your
process repeatable and stable and to allow data recording of these parameters.
The Make-it-EZ has the following features:
1. MAKE-it-EZ Basic
Compressed air supply
WITH YOUR NOZZLE
for atomising nozzles in high shear granulation, fluid bed granulation/coating,
perforated drum coating and spray drying applications. Six (6) bar compressed
air is fed to the Make-it-EZ. The airflow can be adjusted on the Make-it-EZ by
means of a potentiometer. The airflow in l/min is controlled and indicated in
the left top corner of the control panel.
Peristaltic pump
A peristaltic pump is incorporated in the control panel (right top corner) with
speed control by means of a potentiometer. The peristaltic pump has to be
calibrated before use, as the throughput is depending on the flexible tube,
installed on the pump.
The peristaltic pump is ideal to feed atomising nozzles.
Two pulse functions that can be used for:
i. Cleaning the nozzle with jet or needle
Atomising nozzles often suffer from bearding problems. The cleaning nozzle
option creates a compressed air pulse. The nozzle can be cleaned through the
cleaning jet, mounted on the nozzle, or through the needle, mounted inside the
nozzle.
ii. Vibrating shaker for fines
This option is especially designed for fluidbed applications where powder and
small particles are fluidised. To avoid that product got stuck on the fluidbed
walls and to bring these small particles back in the product bed, a vibrator
shakes the fluidbed vessel and a timer set basis. The Make-it-EZ provided the
compressed air pulse to move the vibrator.
iii. Cleaning filters with blowback air pulse
Also for mainly fluidbed applications, where the top process filters are covered
with product, the Make-it-EZ provides a timer based compressed air pulse to
blow-back and shake the process filters to allow the product to fall back in the
product bed.
Every feature can be activated by turning the on/off switch on the control
panel. All the activated features will run through a preset sequence.
The control panel contains a timer. This timer sets the time between the
sequences.
2. MAKE-it-EZ Extended
MAKE-it-EZ Basic, including
Loss-on-weight balance
A balance is connected to the Make-it-EZ to monitor the dosed liquid through the
atomising nozzle.
Atomising nozzle and nozzle tips
WITH OUR NOZZLE
A bifluid (liquid – compressed air) atomising nozzle for spray drying and high
shear granulation will be delivered, together with nozzle tips between 0,5 and
1,2 mm liquid opening.
3. MAKE-it-EZ Full Option
MAKE-it-EZ Extended, including
Vibrating shaker for fines
This option is especially designed for fluidbed applications where powder and
small particles are fluidised. To avoid that product got stuck on the fluidbed
walls and to bring these small particles back in the product bed, a vibrator
shakes the fluidbed vessel and a timer set basis. The Make-it-EZ provided the
compressed air pulse to move the vibrator.
Cleaning filters with blowback air pulse
Also for mainly fluidbed applications, where the top process filters are covered
with product, the Make-it-EZ provides a timer based compressed air pulse to
blow-back and shake the process filters to allow the product to fall back in the
product bed.
